About Jessica Policarpo

Jessica loves to read, go to the movies, work in her garden, cook and travel in her family camper!

She was born to an Italian father and a Dutch mother in 1974. Jessica grew up overseas: 12 years in Africa, 4 years in Taiwan and 2 years in Australia. In 1993 she moved to Italy and graduated from the University of Torino with a bachelor’s degree in Languages (English and Spanish Literature). She worked in the film\television\music industry as a makeup and sfx artist for 15 years. She also taught English in various levels of schooling. In 2006 She decided to move from the city life of Turin to the Tuscan countryside where she still lives with her husband, two daughters and dog.
After many years as a teacher Jessica decided to start writing, her long-life dream, and has now written her first children’s book.

Her book Kara and the magic camper is about friendship, trust, honesty, lightness of spirit, team work and family. It is about a simple farm girl, Kara, who lives with her animals, her best friends. In this first book their adventure is quite bizarre, they want to bring home a camper which is stuck in the mud in the enchanted woods next to the farm.

“Friendship blossoms in the garden of trust and honesty, where lightness of spirit nurtures teamwork and makes us all family.”
